Original Production Cel from The Prince and the Pauper Walt Disney Mickey Mouse 1990

The Prince and the Pauper Mickey Mouse Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1990). "The name's Mickey... Mickey Mouse, Your Royal Highness." The Prince and the Pauper was inspired by Mark Twain's story of the same name, starring Mickey Mouse. The film was released in theaters on 11/16/90, along with The Rescuers Down Under. In the film, Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Pluto try selling what they have for food, Mickey selling firewood and Goofy selling snow cones. They dream of being warm and someday living in the palace. Meanwhile in the palace, the Prince (who looks exactly like Mickey) is doing his studies with his adviser, Horace Horsecollar and his valet, Donald Duck. He is bored and looks longingly out of his window seeing all the people and wishing he was with them. In this lot we have a terrific hand-painted production cel from The Prince and the Pauper. You will find this image around the 6:20 mark. The piece was rendered onto 16 field acetate and bears a seal from the Walt Disney Company. The cel is in a frame of 21.5" x 16.5" under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 14.75" x 10". Frame sold as-is. Very Good condition. From the MacLaughlin Family Disney Collection.
